Baby Bottle Boomerang

Each year Dayspring participates in the Baby Bottle Boomerang, a fundraiser to support The Pregnancy Center of Monroe County. It begins on Mother's Day and the bottles are returned to the church on Father's Day. This fundraiser brings in much needed help to an organization that is dedicated to helping the youngest members of our community.

Shoebox Preparation Night

Join us as we work on projects to use in the shoeboxes that we will pack in November for Operation Christmas Child. All levels of crafting skills are welcome, from knitters and sewing people to someone who wants to count marbles to put them in sacks.

We will meet on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 7pm at Dayspring Presbyterian Church.

Operation Christmas Child
National Collection Week
3rd Week of November

Dayspring will once again plan to be the collection site for Monroe County as we bring together shoeboxes packed with love and lots of goodies for children all around the world. The shoeboxes will be delivered in over 170 countries and territories all over the globe and the gospel message will be presented in over 95 languages. More than 198 million children have received a shoebox gift since 1993.

If you would like to build a shoebox without leaving your house, please visit the following website for our online project. These shoeboxes will be built to particular specifications so that they can more easily go through customs in difficult countries, allowing the gospel to penetrate where people cannot travel.

Mercy Mats

Jesus told us that we would always have the poor with us but He indicated that we should also help them as we are able. In response to Jesus' instructions, we are preparing Mercy Mats, sleeping mats for the homeless made out of recycled plastic grocery bags. These mats give a layer of comfort and some protection from wet and cold. Please see the Dayspring calendar on the front page of this website for dates and times when we will gather to work on these mats. It is a simple process that anyone can do and you are welcome to join us!
